Independently Owned and Operated
The New Zealand Air Ambulance is not a broker, we own and operate our fleet of aircraft under CAA Part 125 and 135 certificate. NZAAS employs the pilots, engineers, nurses, doctors, and logistics team, which allows us to control the quality and standard of every mission. If NZAAS requires additional aircraft from a preferred aircraft provider, our customers can be assured the standard of the aircraft and pilots are in line with NZAAS strict criteria. NZAAS medical team always fly on all of our missions ensuring standard of patient care.

Nationally Certified and Accredited
Skyline Aviation and New Zealand Air Ambulance Service were the first companies in New Zealand to be accredited to all 3 standards required to meet the highest possible accreditation called for by the majority of New Zealand Government agencies.

Highest Standard of Aeromedical Patient Care
NZAAS employs nurses and doctors that have specially trained in aeromedical care. Our Registered Nurses have extensive and varied experience in high acuity areas and have completed NZFNA Certified Flight Nurse Training,  ACLS Level 6, HUET. All our mission are overseen by our highly experienced Medical Directors, Dr Ross Freebairn and Dr Shay McGuinness, both intensive care and aeromedical specialists.

One Call Solution
Our logistics team can arrange all aspects of any transfer. We offer a bed to bed service ensuring continuity of the highest level of care from the time the patient leaves the discharging facility to arrival at the receiving hospital.

Family Members Able to Travel On Board
Most of our private air ambulance flights can accommodate one family member to accompany the patient at no additional charge. This is subject to the Medical Director's approval on a case by case basis
