New Zealand Air Ambulance Service

International Service

New Zealand Air Ambulance Service offers both air ambulance and commercial international retrieval services. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of aeromedical care at the most cost-effective price possible.

Our mission coordinators are experienced in handling all the necessary arrangements for international travel. These include working with foreign consulates and customs, medical clearances, arranging ground transportation to and from facilities, and handling all details involved with the medical transport.

We understand the complexities involved in the organisation of an international mission, and our team is therefore dedicated to simplifying this process by offering the following services:

'One call solution' - prompt, personal and sensitive
Assistance in coordinating an accepting physician and hospital bed worldwide
'Bedside-to-Bedside' service
Highly experienced, aeromedically trained and credentialed flight crew
Critical Care capability available
Detailed itinerary and full transparent costing

Support
Our medical director and mission coordinator can offer families advice on the best mode of retrieval and support associated with patient care, and our medical director can discuss a clinical management plan with local providers to support the best possible outcome for the patient.

How to request a quote

We provide a 24 hour one call service which is directed to our Mission Coordination Centre. They will take all relevant information about the request, the patient’s clinical condition and needs and arrange for a quotation.
All quotes are in NZD and include GST if applicable.

Each case will be reviewed individually and the most appropriate escort and mode of transport will be determined through the review of medical notes and liaison with the medical staff in the treating facility.

NZAAS final acceptance of the mission is dependent on our Medical Director's assessment of the clinical detail and logistics.
